Greetings all Chicago land SU Alumni and friends.

Welcome to the 2008-2009 season of the Windy City Orange, your Syracuse University Alumni Club right here in Chicago. The executive board of the club would like to send a special welcome to all new alumni in the area. We're glad you're here and look forward to your involvement with the club. Simply put, our message to all alumni is this: WE WANT YOU!

We know that you want to get together with other alumni for many different reasons.Our goal is to plan different types of events throughout the year that provide you with the opportunity to meet new people, catch up with an old friend, hand out your resume and business card, or even just catch an SU game on TV. There are many of you out there who have children and are looking for great family events. Maybe you're new to the area and don't have a large network of friends and are looking to talk about some recent SU memories with other alumni and network to find a career opportunity. Perhaps you are a successful professional and can offer another alumni a great opportunity to jump-start their career. All of these - and more - are great reasons to get involved with the Windy City Orange. We can provide the events, you must provide yourself.

It takes a lot of planning to create events for an alumni organization like the Windy City Orange. We take everyone's ideas into consideration, and we often need help to get the events together and spread the word to others. We work hard trying to communicate with as many alumni as possible in order to keep you informed as to what’s happening in local news and events. Therefore, help us help you.

Please do the following:

1) Send back the membership form and be a part of the club. The $20 membership fees are minimal, and are a very important part of the club's annual budget. This will also give you discounts and priority to various club-sponsored events.

2) EVEN if you're not interested in becoming a member at this point (first year alumni are free), we still want to include you in our mailers, primarily via e-mail and some snail mail. PLEASE send an e-mail to and include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, year of graduation, college, occupation and title. We would like to send frequent e-mail reminders about upcoming local and University events. We promise not to spam you and clutter up your inbox.

3) What do YOU want to do? We need all of the ideas we can get from YOU to get you involved! Send us (with your membership information or e-mail) ideas for activities that you'd like to participate in with the club.

4) GET INVOLVED! Join the board and help plan the events, contact the alumni, and keep in contact with the university.

Become a member of the Windy City Orange. You will receive our newsletter and information about all upcoming events through "snail mail" and email (where applicable).

Our membership season runs from July 1 to June 30 and is $20 for Single Memberships, $35 for Couples, and FREE for the most recent graduating class.

Make all checks payable to Syracuse University Alumni Club of Chicago. 

Dues may also be submitted via Paypal. Please follow the instructions below if that is your preferred method of payment:
- Log into Paypal
- Click on the Send Money tab
- In the Recipient's Email field, type paypal@windycityorange.org
- In the Amount field, enter the dollar amount you are sending
- In the Category of Purchase field, select Goods (other)
- In the Email Subject field, please type SU Alumni Club Dues
- Click the Continue button
- Verify all information is correct (payment amount, shipping info, etc...) and click Send Money

Remember, we're only as good as you help make us. Your participation and support (physically and financially) will help us make our club the more enjoyable for everyone.
